I am going to talk about how these two are in way inseparable, after all sugar is a candy for the mouth and fashion is an eye candy!
When the Cupcake craze began a couple of years back, fashion was transfered on the faces of those lovely cupcakes, girls loved having their bday cakes and cupcakes customized according to their fave designer collection

Designers loved the ATTENTION, and ENJOYED the collabrations

And then it was the macroons craze!!
and the pioneers in that filed the one and only Laudree had its very own fashion collabrations such as with Louboutin and Galliano

BUT THEN...an affair can't be one sided, no?
Cupcakes and Macroons incorporated fashion into them, and then it was fashion's turn to incorporate the sugar into them!
One very fine example is the Tentation Macaroon collection from Boucheron
The collection is SPARKLY! and yummy! It features macroons in necklaces and rings, and it is crystallized!

And since am a huge supoorter of local brands--Arabic brands that is, I will mention another designer who incorporated cupcakes in their collections and that is Dinz, they had cupcakes in their famous scarfs, bracelets and my fave polo shirts--I got the cupcake polo shirt*heart, heart*
