We dont like a cave man, whose beard is overly grown, whose nails are bitten or too long, whose hair is washed only one or twice a week, who thinks D&G and Gucci are chinese dishes, who has never visited a spa, who wears clothes that his mom picks up for him from the sunday market..

then, who do we like?

There is no harm in going getting your nails done, HELLO, you are not going to get them polished, you are going to get them cleaned, we personaly recommend Nails at Jawhart Al Shatti, Grand Spa, or Chedi Spa

 



If you are hairy, please do yourself and us a favor and visit the barbar shop twice a week, and get your hair done as well, hey why not try new hair cuts and new ways to have your beard shaved?

Yes we know we have a more sensitive skin and we are more prone to wrinkles, but that doesnt mean your skin is elastic and err life-proof! Get a facial now and then, it will help with the black heads on your noses and will give you an over all glow

 

Okay, Okay we wont ask you to take a bubble bath with candles and all (even though it isnt a bad idea) but hey why not use sensual and enriching body soaps and creams? We personally love Loccitane men products, you can find it at City Center

 

 

Please, Please, PRETTY Please..recognize that there are other designers out there other than Ralph Lauren, I think I will puke if I saw one more 5aleeji guy in a Polo shirt, its like when they are not wearing a kandoora or a dishdasha they are wearing a polo shirt, its like a new uniform!! Explore new horizons, err or designers, just please put the polo down, and no you arent allowed to go back to wearing from City Plaza..

As mentioned above the ubersexual man doesnt compromise on high quality in all aspects of life, so please treat your women with high quality as well
Dont take us to Macdonalds for a romantic dinner
Dont get us m7am9a (none branded, weird smelling) chocolates as gifts
Dont buy us teddy bears from the childern section
Whatever happened to the blue Tiffany box of joy?
Pay attention to our trendy clothes, new hair cut and just done nails
DONT CHEAT on us with women who have beard and mostaches and who wear Jalabiya and leso..

A Tribute To A Legend: R.I.P Amy Winehouse

I was in Malaysia when I heard the news

A Legend was dead..

And then there the stupid meaningless broadcast going on and on

"why are you wishing peace among a drugie" "she was a crackhead good that she died" "million of children dying why to care about a woman who threw her life away"

and while reading those broadcasts all I was able to think about is, " SHIT, all the shallow stupid singers are still alive, and the deep complex legends are DYING!"

So, as soon as I got back to Oman, I decided to write this post as a tribute to her

And since this is a fashion and beauty blog, I want to go over some of her best fashionista moments

In my opinion the best description of this diva was by the Newsmagazine:  "a perfect storm of sex kitten, raw talent and poor impulse control."

As reported by the Stylecaster, Amy Winehouse style has even inspired Karl Lagerfeld to dress the models like Amy Winehouse when the fashion show Chanel’s Pre-Fall, 2008. I mean who can blame him, we are loving the big hair, polka dot, catty eyes and loads and loads of tattoos!

Let Them Eat Cake..

Didnt I talk about fashion and sugar before?

Ooops yes I did!!

But well who can have enough talk about fashion or sugar in this case!

But I do want to talk about a certain cake mastermind right here in M city

I guess my cupcake obssession started when I tasted her cupcakes

Before any cupcake would either be yummy, but too plainly decorated

OR

Nicely decorated, a real eye candy, but it would taste as dry as stone!

Until I met cupcake Guru: Nadya Khan!

I heard about her through friends, and I ordered my first batch of cupcakes from her last July, and I LOVED THEM!

and then I ordered another batch two weeks later, and another batch a month later, and my friends started ordering and VOLA, I was hooked on her cupcakes, I wouldnt order from anywhere else.

And here is why - my beloved readers- I love her work so much:

1) Design:

She is truly gifted! I would just tell her few words about the theme I have in mind, and she will do the rest, she chooses the color, the designs, the images and everything!
The work is neat and very well constructed

2) Taste

Dear other cake designers, when I bite on a piece of cake, I dont expect to taste sand and rocks, I want to taste cream, ganache, soft cake and fresh fruits!

and that is how Nadya's cakes taste like. Her cupcakes are filled with cream and ganache, no way you would feel it is dry.

3) Attitude

Its been almost a year and a half since I first met her, and it has been more than 20 cake orders and still this woman mets me at the door, hands me the cakes by herself with a warm smile and actually bothers to ask me "how am doing"

I once ordered cakes from a certain cake designer, it was the first time I ever order something from her, she didnt bother to say hello on the phone when I called to collect the cakes, was giving me directions very rudely, hanged up without bothering to know my name, and sent the maid to hand me the cakes!

its a "home" bussiness for god's sake, try to be a bit more welcoming and warm.

and for the above reasons my beloved readers, I love nadya and her cakes
